Allana Kathryn, now, Russell, was born in Richmond, VA, on October 20, 1964, "Country Music Month", and raised in a small community of Alvarado, located on the outskirts of Bristol, VA/TN.
Allana learned to play guitar at age 8, and by age 12, she was pickin' and singin' her own material.
In the 8th grade, she played 1st flute, 4th chair when in concert with the local high school band, and when marching, played the cymbals. She has entered and won several talent contests and tied 1st place with Country Music recording artist, Clay Davidson at the Hitchin' Post, now known as Rockin' C.
She has performed with various local bands which consists of Country, Bluegrass, Southern Rock, Blues, etc., etc. She has recorded demos from Nashville, TN, as well as her own songs, and met Artists including, but not limited to, Eddie Rabbit, Billy Dean, Linda Davis, and Little Texas.
Allana is known to have good lead and harmony vocals and other musical abilities. Her attitude creates a delightful blend in the ears of music. She would be considered a "triple threat" in writing, playing, and singing!
Allana was invited as "Special Guest" on Marcia Campbell's Trucker Talent Spotlight aired on Dave Nemo's Open Road on XM Radio Channel 171. Her music is presently being aired on Sunday mornings from 9am to 10am Central time. She also attended the 2007 Tennessee Truck Show and did live interviews with "Bubba Bo" on WLW 700 out of Cincinnati, OH during a simul-cast with XM Channel 173. She performed live at the request of Joey Holiday.
She is a member of the Songwriters Guild and is owner of Our Crystal Ball Publishing, and works from her own home studio.
Presently, Allana drives a team run with her husband in an 18 wheeler, leaving her home in Virginia, and running the West Coast and back.
Any and every one that has ever heard her talents often wonder and question, "Why is she driving a truck?"
